So instead of using your hands to find the answer to your math problems, you can just say something like "Hey Siri, what's 23.5 inches in centimeters?" or "Hey Siri, what's 7% of 339?" . With that, you can quickly do the math on the fly and Siri will give you the answer.

You can also have the Calculator app read the results to you. However, you'll need to enable the feature that lets your iPhone read text aloud first. You can do this by going to Settings > Accessibility > Read Out Loud > Speak Selection .

Once you enable this feature, select the number on the Calculator screen and press the Speak button to hear the result. It's that easy!

Increase Font Size in Computer

Even though Calculator has a large screen, it may not be enough, especially if you have poor eyesight. So if you want to see the numbers more clearly, you can use your iPhone's Accessibility settings.

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Settings by app , then tap Add an app . Type Calculator in the search box and tap the appropriate result.

Once you're back in Settings by app , tap Calculator . Under Display & Font Size , tap Bold Text and select On. Back in the Larger Text  section , drag the slider at the bottom to the right to maximize the font size. Now try using the Calculator app; you should see larger numbers on its screen.

Some more tips for the calculator app on Apple Watch

The calculator app on Apple Watch gets a few extra features like splitting bills in groups or calculating tips.

Note that the two new functions can be used together, as you can calculate individually by setting the tip amount to 0% (if you want to use it for splits) or changing the number of people (if you want to use it for tipping).

  1. Open the calculator app on Apple Watch.
  2. Enter the total bill amount.
  3. Select the TIP button on the top right corner.
  4. When the TIP section turns green, turn the Digital Crown to change the value.
  5. To split the bill, select People and use the Digital Crown to change the number of people (up to 50).
