Since iOS 11.2, the underlined battery icon appears in the right corner of the iPhone screen. However, not everyone pays attention to this detail and knows its meaning and function.

The underlined part of the battery icon in the right corner of the iPhone screen is to notify users that it is the place to open the Control Center, which contains quick toggle buttons, including Airplane mode, WiFi, Bluetooth to activate the flashlight, QR Code scanner, calculator...
When the underline of the battery icon appears, users can access the Control Center right from the lock screen.
The Dangers of Underlining the Battery Icon on iPhone
Being able to access Control Center right from the lock screen is quite dangerous because after stealing your iPhone, a thief can turn off the network on the device, making it impossible to find it.
Disable Control Center on iPhone lock screen.
To prevent this, users can turn off the above feature by accessing Settings -> select Touch ID & Passcode or Face ID & Passcode -> disable the Control Center option.
In iOS 14, Apple also added two small orange and green dots on the status bar to notify users which applications are using the phone's recording and video recording functions, thereby giving them more peace of mind when using the apps.
