The first way you can turn on white noise is through your phone's Accessibility settings.
Step 1: Go to Accessibility in Settings.
Step 2: Scroll down and select Audio/Video.
Step 3: Go to Background Sound and toggle this feature on. The default sound will be Rain . The on/off switch will act as play/pause.

Step 1: Go to the Control Center section of Settings.
Step 2: Find the Listen section and click on the + icon next to this feature.

Swipe down from the top right of the screen to access Control Center for iPhone 8 and later, and swipe up from the bottom for iPhone 8 and earlier.
Next, tap the Ear icon in the Control Center.
Step 4: Tap Background Sound to enable this mode. You can also customize the type of white noise you want to hear by tapping Background Sound again.
Adjust the white noise volume using the volume slider. When you no longer want to use it, click the ear icon at the bottom of the interface to turn it off.
Step 1: Go to Accessibility and scroll down to find Accessibility Shortcuts.
Step 2: Tap Background Sound to enable this feature.
