How to adjust Google Docs margins using the Ruler bar
Step 1:
First in the Google Docs interface, look up at the toolbar above the interface, then click View and activate the Show ruler mode .
Step 2:
Now you will see the ruler bar displayed at the top of the document for us to adjust. We hover over these blue arrows and drag them left or right to adjust the margins accordingly.
We can also adjust the vertical size of the document on the left side of the interface. You hover the mouse over the left ruler until the 2-way arrow appears, then drag the ruler up or down to adjust the spacing above the document.
Also on the ruler bar you can create tabs to align individual lines or paragraphs in your document.
How to change Google Docs margins using Page Setup
Step 1:
Click File and then select Page Setup below to set the margins for your document.
