This week, Nvidia announced the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 desktop graphics cards, with MSRPs of $429, $379, and $299, respectively. If you’re wondering why there are three price points for the two cards, that’s because Nvidia has two versions of the RTX 5060 Ti: 16GB and 8GB, with $429 and $379 being MSRPs for the 16GB and 8GB versions, and $299 for the RTX 5060 (8GB only).
On the other side, AMD seems to be preparing to respond with the Radeon RX 9070 GRE – a mid-range monster with rumored performance that significantly outperforms its rival. The core specifications of the 9070 GRE have not been fully revealed yet, but according to leaked information from reputable industry sources, the specs and performance of the AMD model could completely beat its rival Nvidia.
According to a report from VideoCardz, AMD's Radeon RX 9070 GRE could feature the following base specs:

In short, in theory, the Radeon RX 9070 GRE seems to be able to completely "crush" the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB. In terms of ray tracing, the 9070 GRE is predicted to be on par with the RTX 5060 Ti. However, in rasterization (traditional rendering), the 9070 GRE is overwhelming with a 34% advantage, especially in heavy games.
AMD could price the 9070 GRE at around $449 – just $20 more than the 5060 Ti 16GB ($429), but with a significant performance boost. The 9070 GRE’s arrival suggests that AMD is aiming to “encircle” NVIDIA at both the low-end and higher-end segments.
The GRE model is said to be exclusive to the Chinese market, however, we expect it to see global distribution as the card has great potential to become a top choice in the mid-range segment.
