Apple has officially confirmed the date of its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025, the most important annual event for the Apple ecosystem and app development community. According to the latest announcement, WWDC 2025 will take place entirely online from June 9 to 13.
Susan Prescott, Apple's vice president of worldwide developer relations, said:
We are excited to welcome a new season of WWDC to the global developer community, where we will share the latest tools and technologies that will help developers continue to innovate and create great user experiences.
The official event will begin with a Keynote on the morning of June 9 (California time). During this event, Apple is expected to announce a series of important operating system updates including iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11, and tvOS 18. Notably, iOS 18 is rumored to be the biggest upgrade since iOS 7 with many changes in interface and features.
This year, the focus of WWDC is expected to revolve around Apple's artificial intelligence efforts. Despite being considered slow compared to competitors like Google and Microsoft, Apple is still expected to introduce significant advances in the field of artificial intelligence, especially AI features deeply integrated into the operating system.
WWDC 2025 will also feature hundreds of online technical sessions where Apple engineers and designers will provide in-depth tutorials on how to take advantage of the latest development tools and frameworks. Developers will also have the opportunity to interact directly with Apple experts through virtual labs and in-depth Q&A sessions.

A special feature of this year’s WWDC is that Apple will host a live event at its Apple Park headquarters in Cupertino exclusively for select developers and students. These lucky attendees will have the opportunity to experience exclusive activities, participate in panel discussions, and meet directly with Apple’s engineering team.
For the vast majority of interested people, the event can be watched live via Apple's official website, official YouTube channel, or the Apple Developer app. All conference content will be available free of charge to the developer community.
Meanwhile, rival Microsoft has also scheduled its Build 2025 developer conference from May 19 to 22, nearly three weeks earlier than Apple’s event. The competition between the two tech giants in the fields of software development and AI promises to create a vibrant summer for the tech world.
Analysts predict that WWDC 2025 will be a major turning point for Apple, especially as the company faces increasing market pressure to compete in the field of artificial intelligence. Details of the program and how to register have been published on Apple's developer website.
