Apple Watch Saved a Pregnant Cardiologists Life
Many have spoken of wearables saving lives, especially the Apple Watch. A pediatric cardiologist has spoken out, explaining that she had to have an emergency cesarean section after the woman's Apple Watch advised her to seek medical help.

Dr. Rachel Manalo was 18 weeks pregnant when she first felt her heart racing. Then it started happening more frequently. She felt tired, short of breath, and dizzy. These signs are alarming enough for anyone, but especially so for a pregnant woman.
Fifteen weeks later, Manalo's heart was still racing periodically. She checked her heart using the ECG feature on her Apple Watch . It's pretty simple: just place your finger on the watch's crown and rest your arm on a table.

The Apple Watch returned an inconclusive result and suggested she seek medical attention. The test showed her heart rate was around 150 beats per minute. Her doctor, Tina Nguyen, reported that if left untreated, the problem could lead to a heart attack.
Manalo was rushed to the emergency room and her daughter was born. Manalo later underwent minor surgery to help repair her heart. Both she and her baby girl are now doing well.
