The Canon 6030W printer series is a compact printer, with a beautiful appearance and the most convenient feature that is wireless printing over Wifi, which its 6030 sibling does not have. The following article will guide you how to install the 6030W printer to print over wifi.
First you need to download the Canon 6030W printer driver installer. Note, please click on the link to download the correct version of your Windows is 32 bit or 64 bit . If you choose the wrong one, you will not be able to proceed with the installation.
After the download is complete, open the downloaded file; it will automatically extract to a folder with the location of this folder is the location where you downloaded the installation file. Go to the Network_Setting_Tool folder inside the installation folder then click on the CNAN1STK.exe file to start setting up wifi.
The window that appears, select Wireless LAN Connection and then click Next .
Check the box next to Yes, I want to configure network settings and then click Next .
Select Next Easy Setup .
In the next window tick My wireless LAN access point does not have a WPS button...
At this point, turn on the printer and plug the USB connection cable between the computer and the printer then click Next to connect. Note if the printer has been turned on and plugged in before, please turn it off, then turn it on and plug it back in. This is a very important step and may not be able to connect at first, so please be patient.
Finally, after successfully connecting to the printer, you just need to select the Wifi network to connect and enter the password. After successful connection, the Wifi light on the printer will stay on and not blink anymore.
Now we proceed to install the driver for the printer. Also in the installation directory, go to the folder UFRII/uk_eng/x64/ then click the Setup.exe file . The installation window appears, click Yes .
Select the Standard section and check the box Reactivate Printers in the Sleep Mode and Search and then click Next .
Wait a moment for the PC to search for the printer.
After you have searched for the 6030W printer, check the box in front and then click Next .
Finally press the Start button to proceed with the driver installation.
So you have successfully connected the Canon 6030W printer to the computer via the Wifi network. Printing is done wirelessly so your space is expanded and you can leave the printer anywhere in the house and still be able to print.
