Nine years ago, Facebook already had a messaging interface on the application, but it was split into two applications: a social network application and a messaging application.
To delete the Messenger app, from the home screen, users hold down the Messenger app > select delete app > turn on multitasking screen > Exit the Facebook app and access again.
In fact, Facebook brought back the Messenger messaging feature on the Facebook app a few months ago, but it was only gradually deployed to a few users to test performance and stability first. And now this feature has been officially deployed by Facebook to all users.
To enable messaging on Facebook, users just need to update the Facebook app to the latest version on the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play (for Android).
