This ambitious project comes from a GitHub project called Diabloweb , which itself is based on DevilutionX , another project that optimizes games for modern systems.
Luckily, running Diablo in your web browser is easy. Just head over to the official Diabloweb link and get started. Note that you’ll need to upload the official Diablo 1 MPQ files for it to work. You can do this by owning the game or buying it on GOG.com and dragging the files from there.
If either of these are missing, clicking the Play Shareware button contains a limited amount of actual games. However, the experience of playing this nostalgic game is still great.
However, the cool thing is that you can even play Diablo 1 right on your mobile device! The screen automatically minimizes and the game also has full virtual controls. You can also easily connect it to your TV and use a big screen for this.
