On Windows 11, you can quickly check if your computer has an NPU (Neural Processing Unit), through 3 very simple ways. NPU is a specialized hardware support designed to speed up the process of performing AI tasks that are usually inside the CPU. Here are ways to check if your computer has an NPU.
How to check NPU on Windows 11 via Task Manager
Step 1:
Right -click on the Taskbar below and select Task Manager to access.

Step 2:
At this interface, click on Performance .

If the computer has an NPU it will show up in this interface.

Check if your computer has NPU via Device Manager
Step 1:
In the search bar on your computer, enter the keyword Device Manager to access.

Step 2:
Display the new interface, the user clicks to check below if there is a Neural processors item then the laptop or desktop has NPU . If there is only Processors as below then there is no NPU.

Testing NPUs on Windows 11 from Intel, AMD, Qualcomm
Currently, three manufacturers, Qualcomm, Intel, and AMD, offer NPUs in their processors. For example, you'll find Neural Processing Units in the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite and Plus CPUs, the Intel Core Ultra 200V Series, and the latest AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series.
We go to Settings > System > About and then click Device specs to see hardware information.

Then go to Intel's website at the link below and click on Processors .

Select your computer's processor and check the next information.
