A few days ago, some users discovered that the Facebook and Messenger logos on their devices automatically changed from the traditional blue and white background to black.
Many people thought this was a bug and tried reinstalling many times but nothing changed. Some people even said that changing the background to black was a "disaster" because "it's like remembering someone who has passed away".
Facebook said it was a technical issue, not a rebranding campaign, and has released a fix. However, Facebook did not provide further explanation.
The Facebook icon issue has many people thinking about a new feature on iOS 18. App icons also change style when switching the system to dark or light interface. However, the black and blue Facebook logo appears on both iOS 17 and when users switch back and forth on iOS 18, it will not change.
In recent years, Facebook updates have repeatedly encountered serious errors and have taken longer than before. In April, the social network encountered a display error that caused many posts on users' personal pages to disappear. In March, for nearly a day, most of Meta's platform experienced a serious problem and was inaccessible. The company later acknowledged that the social network had problems but did not specify the cause.
