Google announced that it will introduce a series of new AI (artificial intelligence) features based on the Gemini platform for email applications on Android and iOS to make Gmail smarter and more convenient, helping users easily manage and process a lot of emails every day.
The first highlight is the 'Summarize this email' feature, which allows users to quickly grasp the main content of long email threads with just a click of a button right below the subject line. Google plans to roll out this smart feature to Workspace Labs users this week and expand it to all users in June.

The Q&A feature turns Gmail into a smart assistant that can answer any questions users have about email content. Users just need to type a question into the Gemini icon in the top right corner of the inbox, and AI will automatically provide the correct answer after analyzing the context. This feature will be available to Workspace Labs users on mobile devices in July.
In addition, Google has also upgraded its Contextual Smart Replies feature to provide more detailed and contextual responses thanks to AI. This will help users save time and effort when composing emails. In July, Google will deploy 'Contextual Smart Replies' on both mobile devices and the web version of Gmail.
With AI features, Gmail promises to become the smartest and most convenient email application for Android and iOS users.
