Recently, many users have reported that they cannot save their edits using Magic Editor.
After making changes using Magic Editor or basically dragging and dropping an image to edit, some users are unable to save their images.
Shortly after receiving feedback from users, Google acknowledged the “editing and saving issues in Magic Editor.” The company has now “rolled out a fix” so users “can save their edits without issue”: “We’re committed to making Magic Editor the best tool it can be, and your edits are an important part of it.”

Users have also been using Magic Editor again in Google Photos and have confirmed that saving is no longer as error-prone as before.
Last year, Google Photos users on Android and iOS were offered “10 Magic Editor saves per month.” The feature became unlimited for the $9.99 Google One Premium plan and for Pixel users. Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Portrait Light were also free at the time.
