Guide to build Void Walker DTCL season 8.5
Guide to build Void Walker DTCL season 8.5
Void Traveler is a sub-race in TFT 8.5 and of course, with only 3 generals, these generals must be truly outstanding to have a place in other formations.
This season 8.5 of Truth Arena has removed Zac, but if there are 3 Void Walker generals, he will be summoned again. Zac is considered one of the most annoying tanks in season 8 of DTCL, so when you gather all 3 of these generals, you have a resistant tank.
Thanks to that, the Void Traveler is really valuable in this mid-season update. So what champions, clans and equipment does the Void Traveler usually combine with to form a DTCL squad ? Scroll down below to learn more about this sub-clan.
As you know, if you activate all 3 LKHK champions, you will get Zac. The higher the star level of the LKHK champions, the stronger and tougher Zac will be. However, Zac does not have much health even if all 3 LKHK champions are 3 stars, this is similar to summoning Galio with Cultist in season 4.
Zac will have the same effect as Mam Mam in season 7, Zac's clan will depend on where you place Zac, whichever LKHK champion is closest to Zac, Zac will own that champion's clan. That means you can turn Zac into an Outsider, a Hacker or a Spirit, not simply a tank champion for the team.
This is great because there aren't many synergies between LKHK champions, so Zac will allow you to get a second synergy champion. You can branch out with other synergies like Spirit, Hacker, and Outlaw.
Among the LKHK's clans, Hacker seems to be the least noticed, although Pyke seems to be a strong champion and Hacker has the advantage of sending his main force to the back row to disrupt the enemy. However, the main carry of the team will be none other than Jhin DTCL . And sending Jhin to the enemy team's back row is definitely not a good option.
On the other hand, both Outlaw and Spirit are strong options to put on Zac. If you have 2 Spirits, you can get to 6 Spirits, which will give you a lot of healing. With Outlaw, you can get to 6 Outlaws, which will give your team a lot more damage. But most teams stick with 5 Outlaws and 4 Spirits, leaving room for other traits.
Void Walker Generals
Pyke – Traveler + Hacker
Pyke is a 2-cost Traveler with the Hacker trait. His abilities provide strong crowd control, so if you play Pyke, you'll want to keep him early regardless of who else is on your board. Hackers are also quite useful if you have an early Shen or Leblanc.
Hacker now gives Hecarim's rider full health, even if they're not a Hacker. So you can use Hacker for more than just Zed from Season 8.
Vex – Traveler + Mascot
Vex is a 3-cost LKHK with the Spirit trait. There's a bit of a strange trait with a Spirit, as Vex in this mid-season update isn't a traditional tank. Vex here is seen as replacing Yuumi in the Spirit lineup.
It's a bit awkward because Vex costs 3 gold and Yuumi only costs 2 gold, so Vex will be close to Jhin at 4 gold and putting Jhin in when Vex has become the main force will be a bit redundant. However, if you want Zac to get to 6 Spirits, it still has to be seen.
Jhin – Void Walker + Outsider
Finally, we have Jhin. Jhin has been a 4-cost carry in every season and is usually a solid late-game carry whenever he's available. Outrider is a difficult trait to slot into, though.
You have to build cheap champions like Sylas and Camille to hit level 6, and Viego isn't always a consistent carry.
So with the addition of Jhin, there's a chance of a 5 Outlaw carry comp with the Jhin/Viego carry duo. This is perfect because the two don't use the same items. Jhin uses physical damage items and Viego uses magic items.
In addition, Jhin can also be good in a simple 3 Outlaw squad if you can easily level Jhin up and give him good items, then you just need to combine other tank and carry champions to have a squad to protect Jhin.
Build items for Traveler champions DTCL season 8.5
Vex DTCL and Pyke 's items are almost the same because both deal magic damage. As for Jhin, he only uses items related to physical damage. Vex is no longer a tank this season, so Vex's items will only be support items that deal damage.
Vex will need items like (Oversized Rod, Tears, BF Sword, Wooden Bow, Silver Cloak, Sparring Gloves) to create Gemstone Gloves, Giant Slayer, Deathcap, Archangel's Staff, Spear of Shojin, Blue Charm, Shiv, Hand of Justice, Hextech Gunblade . These are also items that Pyke can hold, but Pyke will be able to hold some more items like Evil Tome, Lightning Crossbow to create better damage.
Jhin needs items like Last Breath, Giant Slayer, Infinity Edge, Rageblade, Deathblade, Fury Bow, Hand of Justice. In addition, some equipment to avoid control or restore like Bloodthirster, Quicksilver Cloak, Cloak of Darkness.
Build Void Walker TFT 8.5, how to play Void Walker DTCL season 8.5
Early game
Start with Pyke and you can use any other champion to start. Maybe start with 3 Supers because Gangplank can support the damage in the front line. Lee Sin and Malphite are tanks.
Mid game
Start adding Vex and maybe Shen to move Pyke to the enemy backline. Also during this phase, you can choose to slowroll to 3-star Pyke and let him be the team's carry. Level to 6 in round 3-2 and if you have rolled at least 3-star Pyke.
End Game
If you follow a slowroll team, you can roll Lee Sin or Malphite to 3 stars, add Jhin late game to increase damage. The 8th champion can be a tank or support damage depending on what you need at the moment.
Or you can change direction to a team like the one below, of course this team will cost you more money because it uses some higher priced champions than the team above. In this team, Pyke will not be used as the main force and he can only stop at 2 stars. Jhin will be the main force next to Viego, Leblanc and Sona will be the champions that support additional damage. The main tank will be focused on Alistar and Zac.
If you want to restore more health, add the Spirit generals according to the formation below.
6 Mascots
At 6 Spirits, the amount of health restored for your team will be quite a bit, however the clan buff threshold will be reduced to only Spirits, Void Wanderer and Hacker.
7 Pagans
The amount of damage will increase quite a lot if you have 7 Outlaws, this formation balances tank and damage but reduces the clan to only 7 Outlaws and 3 LKHK. Jhin will destroy enemies quickly, if you have items like Giant Slayer, Rageblade, Fury, and Blue Bow to support Jhin's damage increase.
Although it is a race, it possesses quality generals and especially Zac can flexibly change races, so Void Walker will definitely appear a lot in the meta in the second half of the season.
