There are several ways you can cancel, pause your Netflix membership, and then return to it. Depending on what your Netflix account is, you may be able to cancel your membership. In the case of pausing your Netflix subscription, you can return to it after a while if you want. Here are instructions on how to authorize or pause your Netflix subscription.
How to cancel Netflix subscription
After logging into your account, click your profile picture and select Account > Membership Details > Manage Membership .
Scroll down and tap Cancel Membership to cancel your Netflix subscription.
Finally, click Finish Cancelation to complete the Netflix subscription cancellation process.
If you cancel your Netflix membership while you are still in your billing cycle, you will still be able to access your Netflix account and stream until your next billing date (the end of your billing cycle). When that date comes, your membership will be automatically canceled. Your Netflix membership will stop until you rejoin Netflix.
If your primary payment method is a gift card or has a promotional balance, you'll continue to use Netflix until your gift card or promotional balance is depleted.
How to Pause Netflix Subscription
You can pause your Netflix subscription for one month. When you pause your Netflix membership, you can still watch movies until your next billing date.
Once the one month pause period ends, your membership account will resume and be charged on the next billing date.
Click Cancel Membership and you will be taken to the interface with the option Pause for a month to pause for 1 month.
You can only pause your Netflix subscription when you're not on a Basic Plan. This feature is also not available for major payment methods like Direct Debit and Gift Cards.
When you pause your membership for a month, Netflix allows you to extend your pause for another month . A week before your pause ends, you'll be given the option to extend your pause. Tap Extend Pause to extend it.
How to resume Netflix subscription
If you want to continue subscribing to Netflix, just go to your account management page and click Unpause Now .
