When you type English text in Word, you will need a dictionary to check whether English words are spelled correctly or incorrectly, specialized technical words, abbreviations, etc. With your own custom dictionary in Word, users can easily enter content without being prompted for spelling errors with special words. How to create a custom dictionary in Word
Step 1:
At the interface in Word, we click on File and select Options .
Now switch to the new interface, the user clicks on Proofing on the left side of the interface.
Step 2:
Looking at the content next to it, the user clicks on Custom Dictionaries to proceed with creating a custom dictionary.
Step 3:
Display the dictionary customization interface, we click New to create a new dictionary.
Then display the interface on the folder for us to create a new dictionary, then select where to save the folder and click Save to save.
Step 4:
To add a word to the custom dictionary on Word that you have created, we click on your dictionary and select Edit Word List .
Then you enter the word into the Word(s) box and click Add below to save this word.
In case you want to delete this word in the dictionary , just click on the word, then select Delete to delete it.
Instructions for adding words to the Word dictionary from the right-click menu
Step 1:
First, click File > Options > Proofing , then look down and check the box Check spelling as you type .
Step 2:
Then you click on the Custom Dictionaries box , then click on your custom dictionary in Word and click Change Default , then click OK.
So your custom dictionary in Word has been selected as the default in Word.
Step 3:
Now we enter the special word into Word , then right-click on the word and select Add to Dictionary in the displayed menu.
The resulting word has been added to the custom dictionary in Word.
This way the word will not be reported as a spelling error in Word.
