How to disable Facebook but still use Messenger
Facebook has an option to disable Facebook but still use Messenger so that you can conveniently exchange or message with others. All the message content on Messenger is not lost but is still kept intact, completely different from permanently deleting a Facebook account . When you disable Facebook, only the Facebook personal pages created from the deleted account will be left. Below are instructions to disable Facebook while keeping Messenger.
Instructions to disable Facebook but still use Messenger
Step 1:
On the Facebook interface, click on the 3 dashes icon below. Next, click on the gear icon to go to the new interface.
Step 2:
Next, in the interface as shown, click on See more in Account Center . In the interface as shown, we click on Personal Information .
Step 3:
We continue to click on the Account Ownership and Control section to exercise rights with the Facebook account. In the next interface, the user clicks on the Disable or Delete option to perform . This will display the Facebook personal page or Instagram account linked to Facebook that you want to disable.
Step 4:
After selecting the Facebook account you want to disable, you will receive a warning that the secondary personal pages will also be disabled. Enter your password to disable Facebook.
Step 5:
Now you are asked why you want to disable your Facebook account , select the reason and click Continue below. Next, Facebook will let you choose when to reactivate Facebook if you want.
Finally, Facebook will notify you that you can still use Messenger as usual to text, video call, and voice call on Messenger. Click Deactivate my account to complete.
