Before you can hide app icons on the home screen, you must set a password and encrypt the apps first.
How to hide app icons in Oppo home screen settings
1. Go to Settings > Security > App Encryption , then enter the confirmation passcode to enter the App Lock screen .
2. Tap on the app, turn on Enable Passcode Verification , then turn on Hide Home Screen Icon .
3. A message appears on the screen asking you to set an access number. You can open hidden apps by entering the number on the Phone app . This message only pops up when you use this hidden feature for the first time. Tap Set Access Number .
4. Enter a number starting and ending with the # sign , between 1 and 16 characters (for example #123456#). Then click Done .
You can set hidden apps to not show up on Recent Tasks , or turn off their notifications.
Open hidden apps
On the home screen, tap Phone , then from the dial pad enter the access number (for example #123456#), then the hidden apps folder will appear.
Attention:
You can override the encryption passcode and open hidden apps directly by entering the access number.
It is possible to close applications that are not shown in Recent Tasks recently using the cleanup function.
Access numbers can only be set once when you first use the hidden feature. If you forget the number, reset your phone to factory settings.
