How to Hide the Game Youre Playing on Discord
Discord is an online voice and text chat platform that allows you to communicate with other people who are playing the same game as you. Anyone can create a server on Discord and discuss anything they want.
By default, Discord will automatically show your friends information about the games you are playing. Especially in the case of games that support Discord's Rich Presence feature, your friends can even see where you are in the game. This generally enhances the sense of community and interaction between people, but sometimes it is inconvenient and affects privacy. This article will guide you how to hide information about the games you are playing on Discord.
First, open the Settings menu in Discord by clicking the gear icon in the bottom left, next to your name and avatar.
Navigate to the “ Activity Privacy ” tab on the left. Turn off the toggle labeled “ Display Current Activity As A Status Message .” Discord will immediately stop sharing your gaming activity with others.
You can now close the Settings screen .
That’s it. If you want, you can re-enable it using the same steps. Discord will now show others what you’re playing, metadata about your game state, or even what you’re listening to on Spotify.
