How to install emoji icons on Chromebook

Everyone loves emojis. They help express emotions and add context to text conversations. Chromebooks have built-in support for emoji input. Here's how to get emojis on your Chromebook using the emoji keyboard for Chrome OS.

How to Use Emojis on Chromebook

To use the emoji keyboard on your Chromebook, you must first enable typing options on Chrome OS:

Select the time in the lower right corner of the screen.

Select Settings in the pop-up window to open your Chromebook settings.

Scroll down to the bottom of the settings page and select Advanced .

Scroll down the page again and select Languages ​​and Input .

Again, scroll down the page and select the toggle switch next to Show input options on the shelf option to enable it.

Close settings and select US in the input options display.

Select the smiley icon to bring up the emoji keyboard.

You can now choose from hundreds of built-in emojis. Tap the icons in the bottom row to browse through the different categories, then select an emoji in the bottom right corner to minimize the emoji keyboard when you're done using it.
