How to know if someone blocked you on TikTok?
If a TikTok user blocks you, depending on how much interaction they have with you, you will notice whether they have blocked you or not. If you haven't seen any posts from that person for a long time, you may have been blocked by them.
There are many reasons why you are blocked on TikTok, if you suspect you are blocked, try the tips below.
How to Know If Someone Blocked You on TikTok
Try searching for username
Here’s the basic way, just search for the username on the TikTok app bar and type in the username you want to check. If you don’t see their account name appear, you may have been blocked. But if they deleted their account, you won’t be able to find it either.
So in many cases, you will also be confused between being blocked by a user and that they have deleted their account. In this case, if you want to know clearly whether the user deleted their account or they blocked your account. Search for their account name with guest mode or use another TikTok account and search for their account name.
Find TikTok Accounts When They Deleted or Changed Their Username
But at the same time, you will not be able to find the account of the person who blocked you if they changed their username. In this case, go to your personal page > select the 3-bar icon in the upper right corner > Settings and privacy > Activity center > under the section Past activity and interactions , check the items like View history, comments, searches and mentions . You may find what you are looking for.
If you have tried every way to find the user you are looking for but can not find it. Maybe they have deleted their account. In this case, you can only contact them by phone number or other applications.
If you want to block someone else, just go to the personal page of the person you want to block, select the share arrow icon in the upper right corner > select Block and agree to block.
Check old messages
If you had a high level of interaction with the blocker, you probably messaged them before they blocked you. So go into your Inbox and look for any messages that might be missing.
In case you are blocked, your conversation with the blocked person will change and you will no longer be able to message them.
The system will display Account not found and their profile picture will disappear, however you can still go to the chat history to see your previous messages.
Conversations between blocked and deleted accounts will be different. If your account is blocked, you will still see previous conversations, but you will not be able to send new messages to you.
Review the list of users you have blocked in TikTok
If the account is deleted, you will no longer see that user's conversations in your inbox. Also, old messages from the deleted account will disappear and no longer be visible.
By following the instructions above, you will know why the account you are communicating and interacting with regularly suddenly "disappears".
