Remote computer control software on Teamviewer helps 2 computers connect and access data, support processing as well as control the other device more easily. However, when connecting 2 computers together via Teamviewer, there are also some risks, when the other party accidentally accesses your device. If so, we should limit remote control rights on Teamviewer, according to the instructions below.
Instructions for limiting Teamviewer remote control rights
Step 1:
At the interface of Teamviewer software, click on the gear icon in the left corner of the interface.
Step 2:
Switch to the new interface, here you select Access this device's settings.
Now we will see some settings for the computer using Teamviewer, click on Advanced Settings .
Looking at the content next to it, the user continues to click Open advanced settings to see more advanced settings for the computer.
Step 3:
Display the advanced settings interface. First, in Advanced settings for connections to this computer , we will adjust the options to limit access and remote control from other computers to your computer.
At Access Control , we select some permissions as shown below.
When you click on Custom Settings , you continue to click on Configuration to adjust which permissions are allowed to access.
In each option, you have 3 more options Allowed, After confirmation (wait for confirmation to execute) and Denied. We review all the access rights to adjust them accordingly.
Step 4:
Continue scrolling down below, you will adjust at Advanced settings for connections to other computers . We also adjust the existing items similar to above.
Step 5:
Continue down to the Advanced settings for meetings section , you adjust some access rights when participating in online meetings on Teamviewer. Click Details to see some access rights. By default, these rights are all allowed.
