Xiaomi phones with MIUI 13 have added the feature of listening to YouTube when the phone screen is off, similar to the feature of listening to YouTube when the Oppo phone screen is off . This is an available feature in the newly updated video viewing feature set on Xiaomi. So we do not need to install the application to listen to YouTube when the phone screen is off as before. Instructions for listening to YouTube with the screen off on Xiaomi phones
Step 1:
On the interface on Xiaomi phone, we click on Settings , then select Special features , then click on Sidebar .
Now you will need to enable Always mode so that the sidebar is always visible on the screen interface. Next, look down below and tap on Video Apps .
Step 2
You are immediately transferred to the interface to manage the video viewing applications installed on the phone. Here we will activate the YouTube application to use .
If you want, you can also enable this mode for other supported video viewing apps.
Step 3:
Return to the phone interface, open the YouTube app, then find and listen to the video you want to listen to sound when the screen is off.
Next, you swipe the sidebar from the left side of the screen interface and you will see the Video Toolbox . Here, the user clicks on the Watch with screen off feature as shown below.
The first time you use the YouTube screen off feature, you will see a notification as shown below, click OK to continue . From now on, this notification will no longer appear.
As a result, when we turn off the Xiaomi phone screen, the sound from the YouTube video still plays without interrupting your video listening process.
