iOS 18 has the option to adjust the size of the widget on the home screen without having to access the widget like in previous iOS versions. Depending on the usage needs as well as the screen layout on the iPhone, users can adjust the size of the widget anytime they want, right on the home screen on iOS. Below are instructions for adjusting the size of the widget on the iOS screen.
How to resize widgets on iOS 18
Method 1:
Step 1:
On the interface on the iPhone home screen, press and hold the screen when the icons are displayed - as below. Then you will see the corner icon displayed in the widget to adjust the size of the widget.
Now you just need to hold down on this corner icon and drag in or out to adjust the widget size on iOS 18 as you like.
Step 2:
Then we will see the widget frame shrink or expand according to the way you adjust. We release our hand and the new size for the widget is applied.
Method 2:
You press and hold on the widget you want to resize. This will display options for different sizes for us to use for the widget.
Click on the size you want to apply to the widget.
How to turn apps into widgets on iOS 18
In this iOS 18 version, users can also turn an application into a widget, if the widget is supported for that application.
Step 1:
You press and hold on the app icon and you will see 3 size options for the widget to switch from app to widget. You tap on 1 of the 3 sizes for the app.
You will immediately see the transfer widget from the application as shown below.
Step 2:
To bring the widget back to the application as usual, press and hold on the widget and then press the square icon as below.
