WhatsApp has updated the feature of tagging friends in WhatsApp status to all accounts, on both Android and iOS versions. This feature works like the tagging function, in which the WhatsApp account of the tagged friend or group will receive a notification about your status. Here is a guide on how to tag friends in WhatsApp status.
Instructions for tagging friends in WhatsApp status
Step 1:
On the WhatsApp application interface, click on Update , then proceed to record status as usual.
Step 2:
Switch to the WhatsApp status customization interface, click on the @ icon to tag friends in the status on WhatsApp. Display the list of friends on WhatsApp. Here you click on the account you want to tag .
Step 3:
Who is tagged in your WhatsApp status will be displayed above. If you want to delete it, just click x on your friend's account name. Finally, edit the status again and post as usual.
Step 4:
At the successfully posted WhatsApp status interface, click on the 3-dot icon and select View mentioned people . As a result, you will see the person mentioned in your WhatsApp status.
Friends tagged in the WhatsApp status you post also get notified instantly.
