Some notification shortcuts on Facebook have dots so that users can quickly recognize the latest notifications. However, many people do not like this notification shortcut and want to turn off notification dots on Facebook. To turn off notification dots on Facebook, you can turn them off immediately on any Facebook interface, or turn them off in Facebook settings. Turn off notification dots on Facebook
Step 1:
At the Facebook interface, you will see the shortcut bar below the interface. We will press and hold on the icon to turn off this notification dot.
Step 2:
Now the interface will display a custom menu for this shortcut. Click on Turn off notification dots on Facebook . Immediately after that, the notification dot will no longer appear on this shortcut.
If you want to turn notification dots back on for this shortcut, just press and hold the icon, then select Turn on notification dots.

Step 1:
Users access Settings on Facebook by clicking on the 3-dash icon .
Step 2:
Switch to the application settings interface, click on Shortcuts to manage the shortcut bar on Facebook. Next, click on Notification dots to manage the on/off notification dots mode on Facebook.
Step 3:
Here you will see the shortcuts with notification dots for you to choose to turn on or off as you like. To turn off the notification dots, just slide the white circle button to the left.
