Huawei is embarking on a completely Android-free era with the Pura X, a new foldable phone that runs the company's HarmonyOS 5 software and doesn't include an option for people to use Google's operating system.
The Pura X is unique in a few other ways, too. Its 6.3-inch display has a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is unusual for a foldable phone. Cutting ties with Google on the device could be a significant step forward for Huawei. According to the official price list announced by Huawei itself, repairing the Mate XT Ultimate screen will cost up to 7,999 CNY, equivalent to 1,123 USD or nearly 28 million VND, equal to the price of an iPhone 16 Pro Max.
