Apple has just announced a much-anticipated feature on iOS 18.1 that brings joy to iPhone and iPad users, which is the ability to change iCloud email address.
Specifically, with the iOS 18.1 update, users can completely change their primary Apple Account email address and iCloud email address right in the Settings app.

Previously, changing the primary email address on an Apple Account was a complicated process, requiring users to delete other email addresses. This process has been simplified in iOS 18.1 with a direct switch.
How to change iCloud email address easily and simply:
Go to Settings -> select your Apple account name at the top of the page -> select Sign In & Security -> select the email address you want to change -> click the 'Change Email Address' button to change.
After you change your iCloud email address, you will no longer receive emails from your old @iCloud.com or @me.com address. Your old address will also no longer be available for FaceTime and iMessage.
With this new feature, those who have created an Apple Account for a long time and are no longer satisfied with the chosen email address will find it useful.
Apple has given users more flexibility and control over their account information in the iOS 18.1 update.
