Personalize Your Valentines Day Playlist With Spotifys New Cover Art Tool

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, many people are still wondering what to get their significant other. The gift should show that you care, be personal, and mean more than money can buy. How about a Spotify playlist with custom cover art?

Spotify Adds New Stickers to Cover Photo Tool for Valentine's Day

As first announced in a post on For the Record, Spotify has added a bunch of new stickers to its cover art tool. And, since it's Valentine's Day, all of the new stickers are about love and romance.

There are 12 new stickers that can be used in your custom cover photos, including a flaming heart, a love snail, red lips, a neon heart, and a dog balloon. All of these can be added to your custom cover photos on any new playlist you create or an existing playlist you've created before. This includes Spotify playlists created with AI.

For those unfamiliar with the cover art tool, this is a Spotify feature that is currently in beta. It lets you create custom cover art for playlists, meaning you no longer have to use the default cover art that features the four songs on it.

Spotify's cover art tool is currently available in 65 markets worldwide, so chances are you'll have access.

To find out, just open the playlist you created earlier, tap the three-dot menu, and select Create cover art . When you tap Create cover art again on the next screen, you'll have the option to change the background, add images, text, and stickers (including new Valentine's-themed stickers).

A chance to show your significant other how much you care.

Spotify launched a cover art tool that allowed users to create their own custom cover art for playlists in 2024. At the time, people loved using the tool to create custom cover art for some themed playlists, but admittedly, they haven’t used it much since.

However, Valentine's Day seems like a good opportunity to use it again, as you can create a Spotify playlist dedicated to your significant other. These new stickers allow you to not only show how much you care about your significant other by choosing a specific set of songs, but also create unique cover art for the playlist.
