What is a mini projector?

Mini projectors are projectors that are 2-3 times smaller than regular projectors, some projectors are only the size of a palm. Mini projectors often have the ability to connect wirelessly or connect via USB port to a computer or phone.

Advantages and disadvantages of mini projectors

Advantage

• Compact size, easy to move and install.
• No need for a fixed power source. The mini projector has its own built-in power source or you can use a power bank as a power source for the mini projector.
• Diverse connection ports. The mini projector can connect to many different devices at the same time such as HDMI, LAN, USB-1, USB-4, MicroSD memory card...
• With Wifi connection, the projector can replace TV or laptop for online presentations.
• The price is much cheaper than normal projectors, ranging from 150,000-15,000,000 VND.

Disadvantages

• Low brightness. The average brightness of a projector is usually 10,000-15,000 lumens. However, mini projectors only have a brightness of 1,000 lumens, so they can only be used in low-light spaces (bedrooms, living rooms, etc.), classrooms, or small offices.
• Not equipped with a cooling and dust filtering system. With its small size, the cooling and dust filtering system of the mini projector is streamlined to ensure the size. Therefore, while watching, you will still see tiny particles projected on the screen.

Should I buy a mini projector?

For those who only use the projector to watch movies, play games, and present text and images, you should buy a mini projector to save money. Although it has many advantages, if you have higher needs, use it regularly and use it in large meetings and large spaces, you should use a regular projector to get the best image quality.
