Scientists have captured many strange things on Mars , from spoons, squirrels, blueberries to the shadow of a woman… but no one is sure if they are real or not.

Spaghetti on Mars

This image taken by NASA's Perseverance rover, sometimes called Percy, on Mars shows a fibrous object that is neither plant nor solid. It looks a bit like spaghetti.
According to a NASA scientist, the most likely explanation is that the object is the remains of the Percy lander.
Angels and Hearts on Mars

This image, called "Angel Image" by the European Space Agency (ESA), was taken by the Mars Express satellite and released in 2020. In fact, this image of an angel spreading its wings next to a heart is actually the remaining ice craters at the south pole of Mars.
A Morse code

This is a photo of the surface of Mars taken by NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter in 2016. The captured image looks like a piece of Morse code.
Astronomer Veronica Bray tried rewriting the code. The resulting 'message' read “NEE NED ZB 6TNN DEIBEDH SIEFI EBEEE SSIEI ESEE SEEE!!” - very “alien”.
In fact, the Morse code in the image is a series of sand dunes belonging to the dark side of Mars.
Long neck dinosaur rock

In April last year, the Percy Rover captured another interesting image on Mars, a rock shaped like the head of a long-necked dinosaur. So much so, that NASA scientist Kevin Gill named it the "Brachiosaurus." However, many on social media said the rock looked more like a chicken leg.
Face on Mars
This image of what appears to be a face on Mars in the Cydonia region was taken by NASA's Viking 1 probe in 1976.

It is essentially a hill that is nearly 3.2 km long with many bumps and valleys.
A light in the distance

A strange light in the distance appears in this image of the Gale Crater region taken by the Curiosity rover in 2016. Some have suggested that this is evidence of an alien civilization living beneath the surface of Mars.
However, the bright spot is likely an optical illusion created by a cosmic ray.
The Spoon is Gone

Strange object shaped like a spoon (scoop) on Mars. This is not the first "spoon" discovered on the Red Planet.
Blueberries on Mars

An area at Meridiani Planum on Mars, where the surface is covered with round gray pebbles that look like unusual blueberries, was explored by NASA's Opportunity rover in 2004.
These "strange round objects" vary in size, ranging from 100 micrometers to 602 mm in diameter.
To this day, scientists have not come to a consensus about what these so-called blueberries are.
Femur

NASA's Curiosity rover has captured a photo of a strange object on Mars that looks exactly like a fossilized thigh bone. However, it is likely just a strangely shaped rock.
A plastic bag

The Curiosity rover has found a clear piece of plastic on the surface of the Red Planet. Scientists have concluded that the piece of plastic is actually a plastic covering from a cable on the rover, which likely came loose during landing.
Statue of an ancient god

In a 2010 photo taken at the Concepción Crater area, an object appears that bears a strong resemblance to a sculpture of an ancient Mesopotamian Neo-Assyrian god.
Woman on Mars

On September 5, 2007, NASA’s Spirit rover captured a panoramic view of Gusev Crater. In that photo, there was a ghostly appearance of a female figure in a dress. However, from another angle, the woman was just a randomly shaped and positioned rock.
A Martian squirrel in camouflage

In this photo taken by the Curiosity rover of a cluster of black rocks called Rocknest on Mars on September 28, 2012, something that looks like a squirrel appears. However, many people think it is simply a small rock.
Gold on Mars

In November 2018, the Curiosity rover stumbled upon a shiny rock that looked like a gold bar. In fact, the object was likely an iron-nickel meteorite.
