Not the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the new Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro Android gaming phone is the phone with the longest battery life today, according to the latest review from Tom's Guide experts.
Experts conducted a test on smartphones. They were set to continuously load various websites over a 4G mobile connection until the battery ran out. The results showed that the ROG Phone 8 Pro had a battery life of 18 hours and 48 minutes at the automatic refresh rate, completely breaking previous records.
In the 60Hz test, the gaming phone lasted 18 hours and 56 minutes. However, users will hardly be able to use the phone at a fixed refresh rate because it has a 165Hz screen refresh rate, including a 1-120Hz adaptive mode.
Currently, the main "competitors" of ROG Phone 8 Pro are Galaxy S23 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max. In the battery life test, Galaxy S23 Ultra only lasted 12 hours and 22 minutes, and iPhone 15 Pro Max lasted 14 hours and 2 minutes.
It's worth noting that the ROG Phone 8 Pro's charging speed is faster than all other phones thanks to the ROG Phone's 65W charging standard, which is much faster than all its "competitors".
iPhone 16 and Galaxy S24 will be released in 2024, let's wait and see if they can surpass Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro in battery life.
