Effective immediately, this announcement means that VMware Workstation Pro and Fusion Pro will no longer be available for purchase. In other words, Fusion and Workstation packages can now be used at no cost. At the same time, existing customers with commercial licenses will remain on their agreements until the end of their term. Customers can continue to use the products without any disruption.
With VMware Workstation and Fusion moving to a completely free model, VMware is now providing users with the necessary documentation and support through Community Access, Product Documentation, and Knowledge Base articles.
