Apple launched its new products with a huge user service: Apple One. With this new service, you can experience many of Apple's small services such as online music streaming, cloud storage, and even exercise classes. All for a very affordable price.
Currently, Apple sells several services separately. Apple One appears to collect all of Apple's services into one, you can use many services at the same time with just one payment instead of dividing it into many separate payments like before.
Apple currently has a total of six services in Apple One, depending on the package you choose: Apple Music , iCloud, TV+, Arcade, News+, and Fitness+. Fitness+ is Apple's newest service, and you can buy it separately or as part of the Apple One Premier package.
Summary of services in Apple One
Apple One will be available across all Apple devices including Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, macOS, and Apple TV. The service will officially launch later in 2020.
Here are some of the individual services and packages that will be included in the Apple One bundle (depending on which plan you choose):
Apple Music : With Apple Music, you get access to over 700 million songs (and live radio), playable on all your devices, including Android and web browsers.
Apple TV+ : Apple TV+ is available on smart TVs, including Apple TV devices. It's an ad-free streaming service that includes original TV shows and movies produced by Apple, called Apple Originals.
Apple News+ : With News+, users can access their favorite magazines, like The Wall Street Journal and the Los Angeles Times, on their iPhone, Mac, and iPad. The service also features audio stories for listening on the go, and even supports Apple CarPlay.
Apple Arcade : Apple Arcade is an ad-free gaming service. Arcade has over 100 games for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV devices.
iCloud Storage : Apple's most important service is probably iCloud Storage. iCloud is built into every Apple device (Windows is also supported) and stores almost everything (photos, videos, notes, settings, passwords, etc.) in the cloud. Apple users get 5GB of free iCloud storage. However, when the free iCloud storage runs out, you'll probably want to expand it. Users will pay a monthly fee for additional iCloud storage.
Fitness+ : This is the newest service on Apple's latest devices list. Users can pay a monthly fee to use it individually. Fitness+ includes guided workout programs for all levels, available in the Fitness app on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.
Apple One's Most Expensive Subscription Just Got (Some) More Value
While bundled services can save you money on multiple subscription services, Apple’s premium bundles are notoriously expensive. To make up for that, Apple has just launched two additional services to its Apple One Premier bundle.
Apple One Premier is getting two new services
Apple One, an all-inclusive bundle that offers three tiers of Apple services, is now adding more perks to its most expensive plan, called Premier. In addition to the services currently available in Premier, Apple Invites and Apple News+ Food will join soon.
A detailed analysis of Apple One's three service packages
Note : According to Apple's website, the Premier plan will save you $29/month, compared to paying for all six on-demand services.
While $37.95/month isn't too expensive, the current monthly Premier plan includes 2TB of iCloud+ storage, Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Fitness+, and News+. Apple has now added Invites and is preparing to add News+ Food to upcoming iOS and iPadOS updates. iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 are expected to launch around April 2025, according to Apple's Newsroom.
While Apple's new Invites app gives iCloud users custom invitations and other event planning tools, Apple News+ Food is an extension of the News app that gives you "tens of thousands of recipes" from sources like Bon Appétit and Food & Wine.
Are Apple Invites and Apple News+Food worth the high price tag?
These two new additions bring the total number of Apple One Premier services from six to eight, without increasing the already-priced $37.95/month. That sounds pretty good on paper, but it all depends on whether you actually use all eight services.
The most important services in this package are 2TB of iCloud+ storage, Apple TV+, and Apple Music. These three services alone cost:
Service
Price
iCloud+ 2TB
$9.99
Apple TV+
$9.99
Apple Music (Family plan)
$16.99
Those three services alone cost $36.97, which is almost the same as the full package, so as long as you use at least three of them, it’s basically worth it—even without the other features like Fitness+, News+, and Invites.
While it’s unclear how many people are using Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+ is pretty popular, especially among Apple Watch users. Apple Invites is a welcome perk, whether you run professional events or just like to throw parties. However, you can use Apple Invites with any iCloud+ subscription, meaning you could theoretically pay $0.99 for the lowest iCloud+ plan and still get access to Apple Invites.
Apple News+ Food could be valuable for the right people, especially those who are not only looking for recipes but also enjoy reading food journalism. This subscription could save you from multiple food magazine subscriptions.

Hopefully, Apple doesn’t raise prices after launching these two new free services in the coming months. This isn’t the first time a company has done this, with Amazon Music raising its subscription prices just months after adding a “free” monthly audiobook perk. There’s no word yet on whether these two specific apps will see price changes, but who knows.
