Why need Nothing Phone when you have Something?
After months of anticipation, Nothing Phone 1 has finally been released. According to The Verge, Nothing Phone 1 is just a normal smartphone with a transparent back. So it would be great if you could bring that impressive design style to the smartphone you own.
That's what electronics design company Dbrand thought, and they finally launched a line of smartphone back stickers (decals) called Something. This product line includes decals with the same design as Nothing Phone 1 that you can stick on the back of iPhone, Pixel and other devices.
Dbrand believes that Nothing Phone 1 will not have impressive sales. The reason is that this brand is unproven and may be over-hyped. However, users will be interested and want to own the aesthetic design of Nothing Phone 1. Something was born to meet that need.
The Something line is currently available in limited quantities for smartphones like the iPhone 13 Pro Max, Pixel 6 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. You can buy them as stickers ($24.95) or cases ($49.90). Dbrand also plans to release similar stickers for the Nintendo Switch and other devices based on customer demand.
Dbrand is known for its satirical approach to product design and marketing, and last year received a cease and desist letter from Sony over its plans to release replacement panels for the PS5. Of course, Dbrand refused to back down and even challenged Sony to file a lawsuit.
