Amidst the recent flurry of rumors about the Galaxy S25 series rumored to launch early next year, a very interesting new report has emerged regarding a clamshell foldable phone that Samsung could launch aimed at the more affordable price segment.
According to the report, the South Korean tech giant is likely to launch a low-cost version of the Galaxy Z Flip7, called the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, sometime next year. This information comes from display supply chain expert Ross Young. In a post on the social media platform X, Young claimed that the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE could launch in 2025.
In a follow-up post, Young added that while the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE may have a similar display to the Galaxy Z Flip7, the differences will be in the camera and processor. Samsung may use the Exynos 2400 chipset inside this affordable Galaxy Z Flip version to keep the price low, while also differentiating the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE from the Galaxy Z Flip7.

Notably, the Exynos 2400 is the same processor that powers the Galaxy S24 and S24+ in some markets. It's a flagship processor capable of running Samsung's Galaxy AI features. If it makes it into the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, it could bring advanced AI capabilities to a clamshell phone at a more accessible price point.
Samsung currently has the Galaxy S25 series in the pipeline for early next year, which is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor across all variants. There are also rumors that Samsung could introduce a Galaxy S25 Slim variant with some mysterious features at its Unpacked event in January 2025. Let’s wait and see!
