Worlds first AI candidate to run in general election
AI Steve is a "virtual" candidate created by artificial intelligence (AI) with the prototype being businessman Steve Endacott who will participate in this year's general election in the Brighton Pavillion area - a coastal town in the South of England.
According to the plan, on July 4, the general election in the UK will take place. At that time, voters across the country will elect representatives for each area in which they live.
This year's general election in Brighton is extra special, as for the first time people have the option to vote for a "virtual" candidate - AI Steve.

AI Steve was designed by entrepreneur Endacott's Neural Voice Company. This name will also appear on the ballot.
Mr Endacott, an independent candidate for Brighton Pavilion, will attend meetings and parliamentary sittings in person. However, the businessman will only act as a facilitator, with AI Steve making policy decisions.
AI Steve will interact with locals in real time on topics ranging from housing to waste collection and immigration. It will also come up with policy ideas before consulting with locals.
However, many voters are skeptical about voting for an AI candidate because they feel that AI cannot effectively represent their interests in parliament.
The UK Electoral Commission has made it clear that Mr Endacott would have to enter parliament directly if he wins the election, not any AI version of him.
