Users can easily transfer media files from Google Photos to iCloud Photos using Google Takeout without having to manually download photos or videos. How to Transfer Photos from Google Photos to iCloud Photos
Note that you must have iCloud Photos and iCloud Drive turned on for your Apple ID account. iCloud must also have enough storage for photos and videos transferred from Google Photos.
Step 1:
We access Google Takeout with our Google account at the link below.
First, select the data you want to copy, click Include all albums to select the album you want to transfer from Google Photos to iCloud Photos.

Step 2:
Next, click on the album you want to transfer to iCloud Photos and then click Ok below to continue.

We click the Continue button below to move to the next step.

Step 3:
We are asked to enter our Google account password to continue, then agree to let Google Takeout access the album on Google Photos , click Continue to proceed.

Step 4:
Now you will choose the service to transfer photos and videos on Google Photos to , click on Apple - Photos app to do it. Click Continue below to go to the next step.

Step 5:
Displays an interface for you to fill in your Apple account information .

Next, you need to agree to let Google Takeout access iCloud and transfer photos and videos. Click the Allow button to proceed with the transfer.

You'll receive an email on your Apple ID when the transfer begins and when it's complete. Depending on the size of the data you're transferring, it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days.
Once the transfer is complete, you'll find your transferred photos and videos in the Import from Google album in your iCloud Photos.
Notes when transferring Google Photos to iCloud Photos
- When you move Google Photos to iCloud Photos, the original photos aren't deleted from Photos.
- This transfer feature does not apply to child accounts, or accounts with enhanced data protection enabled.
- If the transfer fails because Google Photos doesn't have enough storage space or you turn off iCloud Photos midway.
- You can transfer JPEG, HEIC, PNG, GIF, TIFF, and BMP photo file types and MP4, MOV video formats to iCloud Photos.
- Any photo and video files that aren't moved to iCloud Photos, including RAW photos, will move to iCloud Drive.
