Bottle-feeding syndrome makes baby tooth decay
Humairah Shah, a dentist and author of a book about teeth for children, shared that there have been some dramatic cases of forced dental surgery caused by this bottle-feeding syndrome. .
"When your baby is sleeping and feeding, the milk remains in the mouth all night long. Bacteria present in the mouth break down sugar into acids and cause tooth decay."
After the first year of breastfeeding, a bottle of water should be prepared and given to the baby to drink after the feed, leaving any remaining milk or formula cleaned in the baby's mouth.
"Aim to gradually decrease the frequency that you eat at night."
"Most patients with breastfeeding syndrome - my NBS are children under five years old," she said.
"I have seen how painful they were and the parents cried when their child underwent this dental treatment. Imagine the outcome if we transfer this money to investment and education for their children rather than to work. Run this cure, so how do I prevent it ?. "
