Or use the keyword "winmsd.exe" and do the same as when checking on Windows XP, if the value in Processor is " x86 ", your computer runs 32-bit version, if it is " ia64 " or " EM64T " then is a 64-bit version.
ATTENTION:
- In many cases you may see two computers with the same configuration and model and operating system, but the version is different. This is because, computers with 64-bit operating systems can run both 32-bit or 64-bit versions. But if the computer only installed 32-bit operating system, it will not be able to run 64-bit version.
- For computers running Windows XP and Windows Vista, if the System Properties / General interface does not display 32-bit or 64-bit numbers, you can use the following tips to recognize. It is in the System section, if the information line below says:
- Microsoft Windows XP, nothing else: This is a 32-bit version.
- Windows XP Professional x64 Edition: This is a 64-bit version.
- Windows 95 and Windows 2000 operating systems do not have 64-bit versions.
Above is a guide on how to view the version of the computer for all operating systems, you can choose the simplest and easiest way to check your operating system.
