We often hear TV series HD, Full HD, 2K, 4K or even 8K ... So do you understand what those names are? If not, let's find out through this article of WebTech360 !
What is screen resolution?
Simply understood, the screen resolution is the number of pixels displayed on the screen, the larger the number of these pixels, the sharper, more detailed the TV will display, and vice versa.
With 2 TVs with the same screen size, the TV with more pixels, the picture on that TV will be more beautiful and realistic. For TVs, the screen resolution is in pixels.
Currently the 3 most popular resolutions are: HD , Full HD and 4K.
HD TV
HD - High Definition has 2 types on the market today:
1366 horizontal pixels and 768 pixels vertical.
- 1280 horizontal pixels and 720 pixels vertical, which is less common.
The number and models of HD TVs on the market today are extremely large, the price of this product line is also very soft, suitable for the majority of households. The resolution of HD TV series will definitely be much higher than PAL, SECAM, NTSC ... but will lose compared to the 2 lines below.
Full HD TV
Full HD TVs will have twice the picture quality of HD TVs because they have twice as many pixels (2,073,600 compared to 1,049,088 of HD).
Currently, Full HD TVs usually have screen sizes, only a few have 32-inch screens. The prices of these TVs are also very diverse, but mainly in the low-cost segment, suitable for many users.
However, the current Full HD mode is mainly to enjoy movies on the app store or on the internet because normal channels very rarely support this mode, or if you want to watch traditional TV channels in this mode. then we must use a Blu-ray player.
4K TV
4K resolution with 3840 horizontal pixels and 2160 vertical pixels, providing extremely sharp image quality, 4 times more detailed than Full HD resolution, which has been highly appreciated today. 4K TVs are usually named Ultra HD or Ultra HD 4K on the market, depending on the model. However, content in 4K mode is not currently supported much, so we also have a little difficulty if we want to experience at this resolution.
The selling price of these TVs at the time of launch was extremely high, but after a period of adjustment, now with only 9 million dong, you can own a 4K TV for your family.
