How to transfer 11-digit sims to 10 digits on the Viettel, Vinaphone and Mobifone network App

According to the information previously updated, from September 15 , 2018 , carriers will start to convert 11-digit subscribers into 10-digit plans. Currently, the carriers are ready for the conversion and will divide into groups of numbers to convert, in order to reduce network pressure.

The conversion of the 11-digit SIM number will be transferred by the network to users, but with other services such as banking and cable TV, electricity ... users need to notify the operative to change the prefix. And on the user's phone book, too, you need to perform the conversion of the prefix on your phone book to match the new prefix.

As mentioned above, all operators will divide into groups of numbers to convert from time to time, which will help carriers reduce the pressure if they switch all numbers at once. Below is the schedule to convert the 11-to-10-digit prefixes of the most popular carriers in Vietnam.

Note: Numbers that are not converted before you convert in the phonebook will not be able to be contacted.

Step 1: Log in to your Mobifone Next account, click the three horizontal stripes icon in the upper left corner, choose Change Number.

Next Mobifone Next will show you a few 10-digit prefixes of the carriers. Click Preview to continue.

In the Preview panel , you will see the contact list is converted to a new number, click Convert to make the extension from 11 numbers to 10 numbers. Next is the message Conversion complete will be displayed with a number of options such as:

• Complete: End the conversion process of the extension in the phonebook
• Contacts list: Switch to contacts.
• Cancel number change: Cancel the conversion process.

Even if you have clicked Finish , you can return to the old 11-digit number by clicking Change to the old extension.

The second is the My Mobifone application , please log in to your My Mobifone account and select Personal > select Continue to change the extension in Contacts . Or choose Support> Change prefix in Contacts.

Step 1: Start My VNPT and you will see the Convert function , click on it and allow My VNPT to access your contacts to perform the extension.

Next you will see a list of 11-digit phone numbers converted to 10 numbers, dialing 11 numbers -> 10 numbers.

Step 2: My VNPT will then ask if you want to backup your contact data before changing the extension. Click Backup to back up the contact data.

Next you will see a list of conversion numbers of carriers. Attached is the conversion term of the prefix. To convert, click on 0 or +84.

In addition, when you log in your account to My VNPT you can also find the feature Update 11-digit contacts -> 10 numbers by clicking Menu.
