To perform text merging, you must first create a data file:

• Original text file: Text containing document templates (* .doc format)
• List file: Content is created as a list (usually create * .xls files)

Step 1: First, open up the original text file.

Step 2: Then, click on the Reference tab , select Mail Merge.

Step 3: Immediately open the Mailings tab , click the Open Data Source option.

Step 4:  The Select Data Source window appears, open the file containing the meeting list (List-list-hop.xls), and then click Open.

Step 5:  Put the cursor in the field you want to insert information, then click Insert Merge Field under the Mailings tab . When a dialog box appears, double-click the information field to be inserted (Here we select the Parent Name field ), and then click Insert> Close . Repeat this process for the next schools like Parents, School.

Step 4: After the insert is complete, click on the View Merged Data icon to check the inserted data. You can use the First Record, Previous Record buttons on the toolbar to view the merged data one by one.

• Merge to Different New Document: Extract each record into a separate file.
• Merge to Printer: Extract each record to the printer.
• Merge to New Document: Extract all records to the same file.
