How to find your way with Google Maps on mobile

Step 1: Open the Google Maps application on your device. You will see an arrow icon in the bottom left corner of the screen, a green icon means that the GPS system is working normally. Your current location will be a purple pin in the middle of the screen. Click the Directions item in the top left corner to find the way.

Step 2: In the Directions section , you will have 2 fields required to enter information. In the Start field , you can choose Current Location to find the way from the current location or manually enter any address. It could be a specific address with house number, street name ... or a general address (only street or place name). End field for you to enter the destination you need. Similar to the Start field, this can be a specific or general address, Google Maps will suggest a few locations for you to choose. Click the x icon if you want to delete the location you just entered and redo. Finally, click Route toGoogle Maps analyzes information and finds its way.

Step 3: Now, the route from where you are to the destination will be highlighted on the map with blue lines. The starting point is the green pin and the red pin end. This is an overview image of the city map, with information on travel time, the total number of kilometers and the route that will pass at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4: In the upper center of the screen, click the Walk tab to see the walking route on Google Maps. Routes by car or motorbike will be selected based on the criteria of ease and convenience, so there is often a longer distance. In contrast, the pedestrian route will be shorter. Google Maps also calculates an estimated travel time, distance and main route you traverse at the bottom of the screen.

Step 5: To see details of the moving route, users can click the 3 dashes icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. The route from the starting point to the destination will be broken down by each street, starting from your current position, the streets will pass, turn left or turn right ...

Step 6: The entire route details above will be illustrated more clearly and visually in the form of images. As the example above, when going from the current position to 30 Kham Thien, you will experience 7 streets, corresponding to 7 turns or street changes. This way, you can view clear route details, which are useful for travelers.

Step 7: Drag from left to right to see all 7 illustrations to the final location. Click End to end the photo slideshow or Overview to return to the original overview map.
