How To Install Discord On Amazon Fire Stick

Technically speaking, Amazon's official app store is the only way to set up an Amazon Fire Stick. This means that Fire Stick users can't directly access apps from the Google Play Store. However, with a few adjustments, you can install Discord and other Google Play Store apps on your Fire Stick.

Steps to Install Discord on Your Fire Stick

1. Adjust Fire Stick Settings

Before downloading Discord, you'll need to change some settings in your Fire Stick.

  1. Navigate to your Amazon Fire Stick’s Settings.
  2. Select My Fire TV.
  3. Choose Developer Options.
  4. Enable ADB debugging.
  5. Enable Apps from Unknown Sources. This allows your Fire Stick device to download apps from third-party sites. Be aware of potential risks.

To facilitate this process, you'll need to install the Downloader app.

  1. From your home screen, select the Apps tab.
  2. Navigate to Categories and select Productivity.
  3. Locate the Downloader app and install it.

Next, you'll need to download the FileLinked app, which stores various APKs including the YALP app store.

  1. Open the Downloader app.
  2. Type in the following URL and click GO: http://get.filelinked.com.

The Downloader will install the FileLinked app automatically.

4. Install the YALP App Store

Now, use FileLinked to download the YALP app store:

  1. Open FileLinked and search for the YALP app store.
  2. Click the download button to install YALP.

With YALP installed, you can now download Discord:

  1. Open the YALP app store.
  2. Click on the “hamburger icon” (three horizontal lines).
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Enable “Pretend to Be a Different Device” option.
  5. Select the device that YALP will mimic.
  6. Go back to the initial YALP screen and select Categories.
  7. Choose the Communication category and search for Discord.
  8. Download and install Discord.
