Use Google Assistant
Some Android apps block screenshot keystrokes on phones. That means you can overcome this barrier if you use another method instead of pressing that button.
Google Assistant is available on most Android phones, allowing you to take screenshots without using key combinations.
- Open the app you want to take a screenshot of.
- Activate Google Assistant . You can do this by saying Hey Google! Or hold down the Home key depending on your settings.
- Say or type Take a screenshot . Google Assistant will now take screenshots.

Take screenshots using scrcpy
This is the most effective method because it can overcome all photography limits in Android apps. Scrcpy is a lightweight screen capture program that allows you to view and control the screen of your Android phone on your PC. After projecting your Android smartphone screen on your computer, you can use Print screen or Snipping Tool to take a screenshot.
Scrcpy is available on Windows, macOS, Linux. You can install scrcpy with Homebrew on macOS. This article will install scrcpy on Windows via Scoop.

After installing Scoop, it's time to install scrcpy.
- Open Command Prompt . You can do this by finding cmd in the Start menu .
- Once in the Commnad Prompt , run the following command: scoop install scrcpy .
- This command will call Scoop to install scrcpy . This process may take a while to complete depending on your connection.
Now you have successfully installed scrcpy . Next allow scrcpy to access your phone's screen. You need to enable USB debugger on your Android device. To do that, you must enable Developer mode .
- Go to Settings on your Android phone.
- Scroll down to the bottom and select Developer options .
- Touch the button next to USB Debugging to change it to On .
Now both your phone and computer are ready. Connect your phone to your computer's USB and go to the last step.
- Open Command Prompt .
- Enter the command scrcpy and press Enter .
A window will open. You can see the phone's screen, and even use the computer mouse and keyboard on your smartphone through this window to navigate and enter data. Now with your phone screen mirrored on your PC, you can freely take screenshots using the Prt SC button and other capture methods.
