How to use Android Picture-in-Picture mode
Picture-in-Picture mode in Android will help you shrink the video and watch it in picture-in-picture mode, watch the video in another interface to be able to do other tasks. Currently, this feature is available on Android version 8 and above, so that users can activate it. The following article will guide you on how to activate Picture-in-Picture mode and use it to watch picture-in-picture videos.
1. How to enable Picture-in-Picture Android
Step 1:
In the Settings interface on the device, click on Apps and notifications and then click on Special app access .
Step 2:
In the next interface, click on Picture-in-Picture and you will see the applications that support playing Picture-in-Picture mode .
Note:
This feature only works on certain supported apps.
Some supporting apps need manual activation to enable this feature.
2. How to watch picture-in-picture videos on Android
With apps that support picture-in-picture mode, you basically just need to press the Home key to watch video in picture-in-picture mode.
Some other apps will need to be set up manually, such as with the Chrome browser . You open the website on Chrome and then click on the 3 dots icon , select Desktop website . Then open the video on the website in full screen mode .
While watching a video, click on the Home icon , and the video will immediately appear in a thumbnail mode as shown below. You can browse the web and watch the video as usual.
To view the video in normal screen mode, tap on the video and then tap on the zoom icon.
