To limit the file download speed on Internet Download Manager we can follow 2 ways below:
Method 1: On the IDM interface
Step 1: Download Internet Download Manager to the computer according to the download link above, then install it on your computer. Then start the DM software, on the main interface click on the D card download , then hover over the Speed Limiter line , click Turn on to enable the download speed limit mode.
Next, revisit it and click S ettings ... to customize the file download speed limit.
Step 2: The Speed Limiter settings window appears, you can customize the download speed limit for IDM by changing the value in Maximun download speed for one file to limit the maximum download speed for 1 file. (in KBytes / sec).
If you want to always enable download speed limit mode when starting IDM, then check the box Always turn on Speed Limiter on IDM startup. Then click OK to save the changes.
Method 2: During the download process
On the download interface, click the Speed Limiter tab. Then, tick the box Use Speed Limiter and customize the download speed in the box Maximum download speed. You can also check Remember Speed Limiter settings for this file on download stop / resume to remember the speed limit for this download.
Very simple, right! So with only 2 ways above you will limit the download speed, not affect your other work.
