App Store and Google Play screenshot sizes
App Store and Google Play screenshot sizes
An app can have a lot of great features, lots of creative content, and a lot of potential, but it can still struggle with getting good conversion rates if its product page is not optimized well enough.
Providing attractive and quality images is even more important than ASO strategy. Users often do not read the full description of the app but only see the visual content with images and videos and then decide whether to download it or not.
It is important to work on the image you are selecting to review on the app. This is why you need to know what your screenshots look like to grab the user's attention and get them to download.
Google Play Store Screenshot (Android)
Google Play can be used on various Android devices such as phones, tablets (7 or 9 inches) and Wear OS watches. The screen standard is no smaller than 320 pixels and no larger than 3840 pixels. You can add up to 8 photos to the list when updating the app's introduction.

The image format must be JPEG or PNG, 24 bits, 2:1 aspect ratio for portrait and 16:9 for landscape. Be careful if you use other sizes: the maximum size should not be twice as large as the minimum size.
You can have a 15-30 second video, always displayed before the screenshots, open in landscape or full screen mode. App developers allow advertising content to be incorporated into these videos and embedded directly from Youtube.
App Store Screenshot (iOS)
The iOS App Store allows users to upload up to 10 photos. It also lets developers add demo videos, which can be viewed both in search results and on product pages.

You can add up to 3 videos (15-30 seconds). These videos should show the design and features of your app. If it’s a game, the videos should show how to play and what important features users will notice. Unlike Google Play, ads are not allowed in App Store videos. Apple can remove apps that don’t follow this policy, so be careful.
